Our Mission

MediaTools was built with a simple belief: your files should stay yours. In a world where most online image tools upload your photos to their servers, we chose a different path.

All our tools process your files directly in your browser. This means:

• Your photos never leave your device
• No server-side processing or storage
• Faster processing (no upload/download wait times)
• Works even with slow internet connections

Why We Built This

As developers with backgrounds in image processing and web technologies, we saw a problem: millions of people were uploading their personal photos (family pictures, documents, medical records) to unknown servers just to convert a file format or reduce file size.

Modern browsers now have powerful APIs (Canvas, WebCodecs, WebAssembly) that make local processing possible. We decided to build tools that leverage these capabilities while respecting user privacy.
